The more I study about nutrition and right diet, the more mindful when I go for groceries shopping. Yesterday, I went to groceries store, I walked by food corner, so many types of packaging food, fresh food and fruits, frozen food and others. I just simply pick up one packaged food in organic shelf, when I look at the ingredients, even though no preservative, no GMO but still contain sugar. I tried not to intake any sugar except for those natural sweeteners and from organic fruits as it’ll cause instability of blood sugar, suppress function of immune system, promotes inflammation, bad to teeth, high blood pressure, liver decease and so much more disadvantage to jeopardise our health.
Currently, I am using natural sweeteners like barley malt, rice malt, miring (non-alcohol) for my cooking, all this natural sweetener will not cause blood sugar suddenly jump up and down, it’s more stable. You are calm and relax after enjoying good quality dessert.
Have you experience that when you give “Candy”, “Chocolate” or “any products contained sugar” to a child, suddenly the child is “Hyperactive”? All this related to the instability of blood sugar. If possible, don’t reward your children with sugar contained products, it’s not healthy.
I made a healthy Kanten with organic adzuki bean dessert. Kanten is made of red edible seaweed (algae), its white and semi-translucent gelatinous substance.
The health benefits of Kanten, a good source of calcium and iron, and is very high in finer. It contains no sugar, no fat and no carbohydrates. It is known for its ability to aid in digestion and weight loss. It carries toxic waste out of the body. It is also used in some parts of the world to treat haemorrhoids. Other benefits like, ability to reduce inflammation, calm the liver, and bring relief to the lungs.
4g Kanten powder
400 g Filtered water
3 tablespoon of Organic Barley Malt
Cooked Organic adzuki bean
You just need to boil the kanten powder with filtered water and continuously stir to avoid sticky to the stainless steel pot. Then, mixed with barley malt. Next, just pour slightly of boiled Kanten to glass container before you put in organic adzuki bean. Follow by the rest of the boiled Kanten. After cooling, put into the freezer.
