I am blessed to learn macrobiotic cooking especially on making the dessert. Since young, I am not a butter and milk person. Basically, My family members don’t take food contained butter, cheese and milk. In a way, its great that I took very less of diary products. However, it’s really hard to get vegan dessert here. Occasionally, I’ll still take pastries or cake contained of diary ingredients.
After learning the macrobiotic way of cooking, I can bake easily on vegan cookies and cakes. Basically, it’s so easy to prepare vegan cookies or cakes as we don’t need to use blender to blend the ingredients. All you need is using your hand and spatula to mixed well and evenly. Then, you can put into oven and start to bake.
Of course, initially you need to know your ingredients, texture and also get use of the temperature of oven. You can’t just follow the recipe blindly as all oven performed differently. The more you baked, the more you can master your skills. Every time is a new learning process and of course I experienced failure. I am not worry about failure, however the most “Painful” moment is to eat all “failure” cooking food as I practice strongly on no wastage.
Last week, I learned how to bake a beautiful Organic vegan Dragon fruit Kanten (Agar) fruit cake. It’s truly beautiful and healthy. All cookies and cakes are not using any refined sugar, as such our blood sugar is stable even after happy dessert. How joyful!!!
