Recently, I went for a short trip to relax, as such I never bring any food to cook and I need to dine out for every meal. Of course, I am searching the social media to get advise and tips for the best vegetarian food and also check out from word of mouth.
The vegetarian restaurant that we dine-in, so-called the best, full of mock “meat” and the cooking is traditional Chinese. To our surprise, when we ordered brown rice instead of white rice, their answer is “No brown rice”. This is alarming!
Some of us, we might think to be a vegetarian, we can improve our health as there is no meat and seafood in our diet. Is it the truth? Of course, not. It’s all depend on what food do you eat and what is the cooking method. Imagine, if every meal you are taking “mock” meat which full of white flour, deep-fried of food which is using recycle oil, sauces full of white sugar, full of artificial flavouring and lack of fresh vegetables, beans, nuts, seaweeds and others fresh ingredients. I am sure that you are not going to enjoy a healthy lifestyle. All this processed “white” food is going to bring harm to your body.
One of my teacher’s student, a vegetarian for long time yet he is so unhealthy, he had high blood, cholesterol, overweight and others. The key is he took the wrong food even though he is taking vegetarian meal. Luckily, he is a vegetarian, if not based on his diet and he continuously taking meat, his health condition is worsen.
As such, please spend time to study more on what is the right food to sustain good health.
